Môrelig Vineyards is situated on the base of the Paardeberg Mountain with well-established bush vines, the oldest block planted in 1965. The vines are grown in decomposed granite soils and rely solely on the annual rainfall for their moisture intake. They are supplemented with organic plant and animal matter annually. Very little machinery is used to farm the vineyards relying on many human hands to maintain and harvest the vineyards.
The farm recently started making wine in small quantities in the newly renovated cellar. Our philosophy is to make wine as natural as possible and to capture the unique flavours of the Swartland.
